2.5-Liter 16-Valuve Intercooled Turbocharged DOHC Common Rail DI-D
2.5-liter 16-valve Intercooled Turbocharged DOHC Common Rail DI-D*
Max output: 100kW/3,500rpm (136PS/3,500rpm)
Max torque: 314N-m/2,000rpm (32.0kg-m/2,000rpm)
Precision fuel delivery. High power, high efficiency and low emission performance all depends on it. The common rail direct injection feeds a high-pressure fuel supply directly to the cylinders in precisely measured sips, so each receives exactly the same amount. Using electronically controlled injection and a 32-bit ECU with feedback function to optimize fuel dispersion within the combustion chambers, the system makes continual adjustments to always run at peak efficiency. The result is controlled power output, with exhaust emissions kept down to a minimum.
Super Select 4WD II (SS4 II)
The L200’s advanced SS4 II lets you shift between 2H, 4H and 4 HLc modes at speeds of up to 100 km/h providing on-demand control for highway performance or off-road traction whenever you need it.
2H (2WD High Range)
The choice for normal road situations. Only the rear wheels receive power, providing a smooth, quiet, fuel-efficient ride.
4H (4WD High Range)
For rougher roads or hazardous conditions. All wheels receive torque, giving better traction to keep you out of trouble.
4L (4WD Low Range)
The best choice for sure off-road handling. Four-wheel performance shifts into low gear for maximum traction through mud or sand.
5-speed manual transmission
The 5-speed manual transmission is available for those who prefer the feel of control that only a stick shift can give. The smooth lever movement and intuitive placement make shifting easy and confident.
4WD traction
A double-wishbone front suspension with coil springs and stabilizer bar, combined with an above-the-axle leaf spring rear suspension give unmatched traction and stability with a higher ground clearance for going off-road.
Mitsubishi’s rally-proven Easy Select 4WD lets you move from smooth 2WD highway performance to rugged 4WD off-road traction without breaking stride. With shift-on-the-fly convenience at up to 100km/h, the right driving mode is always at your fingertips.

Break out in style. Discover rolling landscapes, yawning valleys, tight mountain passes, crowded one-way streets, all in leg stretching comfort. The L200 has many additional practical features such as the flip-down sunglasses storage and door holder for one-liter bottles, meaning that whatever you might need on your journey, it’s never further then an out-stretched arm.
Because accidents can happen even when driving safely, the L200 offers the protection of front SRS airbags for both driver and front passenger. Used together with the 3-point ELR seatbelts, they provide an excellent degree of collision safety.
Extra-strong Body Construction
The beams and support pillars throughout the L200’s construction use high-tensile steel to surround the cabin in an extra-rigid protective frame.
Larger, stronger brakes
With its large front ventilated disc and rear drum brakes, the L200 has quicker stopping in all conditions. The addition of a class-leading 10-inch single master vacuum booster multiplies stopping power in emergencies, so drivers can now feel confident and safe even when driving conditions turn hazardous.
11.6-inch leading & trailing drums (4WD and 2WD GLX) 2WD GL: 10 inches
ABS with EBD
The L200’s ABS gives you the ability to suddenly maneuver safely around obstacles as you slow down. EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution) assists by applying additional force to the rear brakes as needed, enabling quicker stops even when carrying passengers and heavy loads.
